Driving Downtown – Portland Oregon USA – Season 1 Episode 16.
Starting Point: Broadway .
Portland is the largest city in the U.S. state of Oregon and the county seat of Multnomah County. It is located in the Willamette Valley region of the Pacific Northwest, at the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia rivers. The city covers 145 square miles (376 km²) and had an estimated population of 619,360 in 2014,[7][9] making it the 28th most populous city in the United States. Approximately 2,348,247 people live in the Portland metropolitan statistical area (MSA), the 24th most populous MSA in the United States. Its Combined Statistical Area (CSA) ranks 17th with a population of 3,022,178.
Named after the city in Maine, Portland was settled in the 1840s near the end of the Oregon Trail. Its water access provided convenient transportation of goods, and the timber industry was a major force in the city’s early economy. At the turn of the 20th century, the city had developed a reputation as one of the most dangerous port cities in the world, a hub for organized crime and racketeering. After the city’s economy experienced an industrial boom during World War II, its hard-edged reputation began to dissipate. Beginning in the 1960s,[10] Portland became noted for its growing liberal political values, and the city has earned a reputation as a bastion of counterculture which has proceeded into the 21st century.[11] According to a 2009 Pew Research Center study, Portland ranks as the 8th most popular American city, based on where people want to live.[12]
The city operates with a commission-based government guided by a mayor and four commissioners as well as Metro, the only directly elected metropolitan planning organization in the United States.[13] The city government is notable for its land-use planning and investment in public transportation.[14] Portland is frequently recognized as one of the most environmentally conscious cities in the world because of its high walkability, large community of bicyclists, farm-to-table dining, expansive network of public transportation options, and 10,000+ acres of public parks.[15] Its climate is marked by warm, dry summers and chilly, rainy winters. This climate is ideal for growing roses, and Portland has been called the “City of Roses” for over a century.[16][17] “Keep Portland Weird” is an unofficial slogan for the city.[18]

This is OLD FOOTAGE ! Downtown Portland looks like a war zone now ! You wouldn't even want to walk down the street in downtown Portland nowadays !
unfortunately Portland doesn't look like that anymore. There are many homeless people on the street. Not safe
If you want a real look at the homeless/problems look up portlandlookslikeshit on Instagram. This city has been torn to pieces due to drugs and lack of leadership from our government officials.
it's depressing to watch this after seeing what portland is like now… tents everywhere, garbage everywhere, statues torn down, everything boarded up…. 🙁
Thank you for putting myself in and on you tube BE SAFE NN FUK OFF LOVE UR WORLD 🌎

So beautiful.. I hope I can move to Portland soon 🙏
Guys im from the future, your city is in danger. by 2021 it will turn into a homeless encampment, an open air psychiatric ward for drug users. The city will defund its police and crime will skyrocket. You have been warned
since I start investing with this company I have been living a better life. Geting my profit for my investment today is exciting. Thanks to AUTOMATE company.
As someone who lives in downtown Portland, I can say it does, in fact, still look like this. There are a few parts of the city that have boarded up windows, but not as many as the news is portraying. The media wants you to believe that Portland is being burnt to the ground, and that is simply not true. Yes, there are tent communities throughout certain parts of the city, but not as many as people say.
Portland still lives!
He is one in a million, best among many, most trusted , I almost gave up on trading then I met him through a friend, Austin is the most trusted trading expert who helped the life of my family and I ,..
Portland is very nice, only 700,000 people yet has a downtown 2 or 3 times bigger than cities like San Diego, San Jose, Phoenix, Houston, San Antonio, etc because it has really good urban planning. Portland doesn’t have a lot of urban sprawl so the traffic isn’t bad, and it’s the most walkable and bike-able city in America. Property prices are rising but are still half that of similar cities like Seattle, LA, and San Francisco. Portland has a top 5 restaurant scene in America and is very outdoor-friendly with many places to hike and lots of huge parks. Crime is average, homelessness is a little above average but everything else is really good. Lastly Portland’s weather is soooo much better than Seattle’s, it rains less than half as much and it’s warmer with longer summers and shorter winters.
Still trash because of the Democrats there
Portland is a dump for drugs and alcohol addiction!
It will never return to its former beauty. The radical left with their mercenaries antifa along with that soi boi mayor have completely destroyed it.
I don't know why, but I see myself living in Portland in the future, as I'm looking towards leaving my hometown of Bogotá for a better life in the mid-term. Is it a good city for foreigners looking for a better future?
Also, J, where's the video of my city you promised me last year? 😜
Dude you just lurched around the protest areas. LOL JK I wanted to see PSU, I graduated from there and moved.

Beautiful ❤
I hope it's still this way after all the riots…
What a beautiful city. I never lived there, even I'm not US citizen, but I'm in love with this city. I would like go there and, for a week, walk down here and there by its streets, sit down in a coffee shop and watch people through the window. I would like to be there, unfortunately USA, nowadays, doesn't have a good social ambience… perhaps now, with Biden, there will be a more sweeter and lovelier life
Ah portland. The only city that has bums shooting heroin in public while also in the midst of a rain storm
Anyone whos moving here be careful to not step on used needles.
Все видео – это несколько кварталов. Или Портленд такой маленький?
