  1. I have a 1,000 sf 2 br with basement storage, hookups, yard in the same neighborhood she's in for $1,075.

  2. As someone in this EXACT situation, credit score is everything. I would not have my apartment otherwise. Get yourself a credit card, use it for specific expenses, pay it off on time. Do that, and the world will be so much easier to navigate.

  3. I'm from Portland Oregon
.. it's so sad how expensive the rent is… I'm currently apartment hunting and the requirements are insane for even 120 square ft!!! I can't just move all my family is here and my job!!… This sucks

  4. This video screams I’m poor, but everyone else pays for me, and the attention I receive pays for my living. You’re welcome that the world hasn’t chewed your overalls to threads.

  5. This is a joke right? This is cheap for this hood. Also, this unit in the top corner of the kent is empty so since you filmed this she isn't even there anymore.

  6. 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️Hello, We live in Portland/Beaverton and love it❤️❤️❤️❤️✅✅✅✅✅🛒I have west coast thrift Journey… check it out some time🛒🛒🛒

  7. This is insane. 1200 for a 1 bedroom 700sq ft apt and even with multiple jobs and school monies, she had to have a co-signer. Why? Because 4 times the rent is insane. 1 person rarely make 4 (× 1200= $4,800/month) times the rent.. in this case 5grand. How many people including yourself do you know that make 5,000/month and are willing to move into a single bedroom apartment, 700 sq feet ?? I cant stand how Portland has shifted. We used to be affordable. We used to be community oriented. Just a sad situation- wishing you the best.

  8. Isn't that special…. she is adulting! Welcome to life. You are responsible. That's it. Now move along. You have more adulting to do.

  9. Four times the rent for an apartment? Wow, most I've ever heard of or been asked is two and a half times, but mostly I've only heard of twice the rent

I make a high salary, and I'D barely qualify for that place

  10. We pay $1500 in Portland, have washer, dryer, dishwasher, outdoor space, garage plus parking outside. One bed one bath, no co-sign. Can’t wait to move somewhere else, not happy living here with the rise in violence.

  11. I live in Portland and made $1400 a month during college. It’s definitely not a livable wage and I usually ended up going into credit card debt throughout the year and working 50 hours a week during the summer to pay off my credit cards. At least we have a two bedroom apartment though for $1400. Not as new as hers though. Can’t wait to move out of this s**thole city tbh! Lol 😂

  12. I have a 1b/1b apartment in Portland, I pay about same price as this place, but I don’t have AC, no washer/dryer and no dishwasher! My building does have a laundry facility in the basement which goes a long way as it’s only a few floors away. It’s definitely worth it for me bc I’m situated in prime location of Northwest Portland ie not many homeless but tons of restaurants, stores and places to walk around.
